Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 November 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Sushree Shibani, an individual based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, who runs Swara ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Swara, you agree to them, to our Privacy Policy and to our Refund Policy.

1. Who can use Swara

You must be at least 18 years old. If you use Swara for a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it. Give correct details when you sign up, and keep access to your email or Google account safe: anyone who can sign in as you can use your minutes.

2. What Swara does, and its limits

Swara uses AI to dub your video into another language in a voice like the original speaker's, keeping the background music and sounds. AI makes mistakes: the transcript, translation, timing or voice may be wrong or sound unnatural. You can check and edit the translation before the voice is made, and you are responsible for checking the dubbed video before you publish or share it.

3. Your content and the consent you give

For every video you upload, you confirm that:

  • you own it, or have the rights to use and dub it;
  • every person whose voice is in it has agreed to their voice being copied by AI and used in another language (you have it in writing if possible);
  • publishing the dubbed version won't break any law or anyone's rights.

You confirm this each time with a checkbox at upload, and we keep a record of it. You keep all rights to your uploads and to the dubbed videos. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide Swara to you; we don't use them to train AI models and don't claim any other rights.

4. What you must not do

You must not use Swara to make or share content that:

  • copies a person's voice without their consent, or pretends to be someone else (impersonation, misleading "deepfakes");
  • falsely shows a real person saying or doing something, or a real event that didn't happen, in a way meant to deceive;
  • is sexual content involving children, non-consensual intimate content, or obscene content;
  • promotes hatred, violence, terrorism or self-harm, or relates to illegal weapons or explosives;
  • is fraud or misinformation, such as false documents, scams or election misinformation;
  • breaks copyright or other rights, or any law in India or where you publish it.

You also must not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, get around the free trial's limits with extra accounts, or resell Swara without our written permission.

5. AI-generated content: say so

Dubbed videos are made with AI. When you publish one, follow the rules of the platform you publish on and of Indian law about disclosing AI-made or altered content (for example YouTube's "altered or synthetic content" setting). Don't remove any label or mark we add to show that a video was made with AI. Free-trial videos carry a small visible mark.

6. If you break these rules

We review every misuse report (anyone can file one on our report page). If you break these terms or the law, we may, without refund: delete the content, suspend or close your account, share your identity with the person harmed where the law allows or requires it, and report the matter to the police or other authorities.

7. Minutes, prices and payment

  • You buy minutes in one-time packs, shown on our pricing page. There is no subscription and nothing renews. The price shown is the full price; no tax is added at checkout.
  • A video uses as many minutes as it is long, rounded up to the next full minute. They are taken from your balance when the dubbing starts.
  • If a video fails and can't be finished, its minutes come back to your balance automatically.
  • Bought minutes don't expire while your account exists.
  • The free trial is for one video of up to 3 minutes, once per person. Its video is 720p and carries a small mark.
  • We may change prices for future purchases; minutes you already bought stay yours.
  • Payments are handled by Razorpay (India) or Stripe (outside India) under their own terms.
  • Refunds: within 7 days of buying, if you haven't used that pack. Details in our Refund Policy.

8. Your files are deleted after 30 days

We delete uploaded and dubbed files 30 days after upload, unless you choose "Keep" for that project. Download your dubbed video in time; we can't recover deleted files.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Swara running, but it may sometimes be slow or unavailable, for example during maintenance or when a provider we depend on has problems. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever close Swara, we will tell you at least 30 days before, so you can use the minutes left in your account; unused minutes are not refunded when the service closes.

10. Our responsibility

Swara is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses (such as lost income, views or followers), or for how you or others use the dubbed videos. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under Indian consumer protection law.

If someone makes a claim against us because of content you uploaded or published, or because you broke these terms, you will cover our reasonable costs of it.

11. Closing your account

You can stop using Swara at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing buildingswara@gmail.com. Minutes left in a deleted account are lost, except those you can still get refunded under the Refund Policy. We may close accounts that break these terms (section 6).

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes, we email you before they apply. If you keep using Swara after that, the new terms apply.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first; most problems are solved quickly by email. If a dispute can't be solved, the courts at Bangalore have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.
